Meals

Included in your weekly rate is a daily continental breakfast and a selection of 4 lunches and 4 dinners prepared for you by Chelsea, our professionally trained chef. Enjoy the luxury of not having to shop and prepare your meals along with the pleasure of being served gourmet cuisine in your private oasis. Additional meals from Chelsea can easily be arranged for an extra charge or you can explore the local restaurant scene, its up to you.

FOOD

After you finalize your booking and before your arrival we will present you with a menu list of possible lunch and dinner options.
Simply select 4 choices from each category and our Chef will prepare and serve your selections on the afternoons and nights you choose. We will even stock the house with a selection of beer, wine and liquors or other available items ( for an additional cost ) if you desire.

A sample lunch selection, Tomato and red pepper gazpacho served with a shrimp salad stuffed avocado.

A sample dinner selection, Prosciutto wrapped mango with a balsamic reduction, followed by roast tenderloin in a cognac green peppercorn sauce with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans, followed with a Mexican devil’s food cake with a chili infused chocolate truffle filling.

The remaining meal times are free for you to do as you like, check out the many area restaurants, join an adventure tour (many include lunch) or whip up your own favorites in the well equipped kitchen.

ABOUT OUR CHEF

Chelsea Brandau trained at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in Cambridge Massachusetts with an emphasis on baking and pastry arts.

She fine tuned her culinary skills while working at several Boston area fine dining restaurants.

Here in Costa Rica she has served as the Director of Culinary and Tourist Operations at Villa Vanilla a local organic vanilla and spice plantation.

Chelsea loves to share her passion for great food and will definitely make your stay at Villa Vigia a memorable one.
